Bianca Hartge-Hazelman

FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Bianca Hartge-Hazelman is the ceo of Financy, author of the Financy Women’s Index and mum of 3 girls.

Bianca lists the Women’s Index™ as one of her proudest career accomplishments. Launched in 2017, the Index is aligned to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) of which Financy is a signatory. 

Bianca has previously worked for Australian Financial Review, Channel Nine’s Financial Review Sunday program, Kaplan Professional and the ABC. She is a regular media commentator on women’s finance and contributor to the Australia Financial Review. Bianca holds a Communications Degree with a Broadcast Major, Masters in Journalism and Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.

Neil Hazelman

CHIEF CREATIVE STRATEGIST

Neil Hazelman is the chief creative director at Financy and strategic brand consultant to many purpose-led organisations. Neil is an award winning executive creative director, artist, illustrator, designer, advertiser, marketer and brand man. He is also the strategic brains behind brand Financy and The Women’s Index™. 

He brings over 25 years industry experience across global markets having worked in New York and London and consulted throughout the Asia Pacific. Neil is also an entrepreneur and the founder of creative cloud agency, We Are Why which helps organisations discover their unique “why” or purpose and align it to profits. Neil’s work brings bespoke teams together to execute on big ideas.

Connie McKeage

Connie has an enviable track record of leading teams that deliver. She founded OneVue Holdings, an Australian All ordinaries listed company, and was Group Managing Director of OneVue from its founding in 2014 to 2020 when OneVue was acquired by IRESS. Connie has extensive experience in the Australian, Asian, European and North American financial services markets. Connie’s expertise is taking businesses from start-up to grown up. Connie was awarded the Centenary Medal for her contribution to Australian business leadership. She is a Founder of Financial Executive Women (FEW) and in 2015 was an Eastern Finalist for E&Y’s Entrepreneur of the Year. She has been recognised by Insights Success magazine as one of the “the 30 most influential Women in Business”, and most recently was awarded Chief Executive Officer of the Year at the Women in Finance Awards in 2018 and 2020. Today Connie is a full time non-executive Director and sits on the Genpact Global Advisory Board and Seven Consulting Advisory Board.

Prof Carol Kulik

Prof Kulik is a Bradley Distinguished Professor at the University of South Australia (UniSA Business) and a senior researcher within the Centre for Workplace Excellence. She was the 2018-2019 President of the Academy of Management, the largest professional association of management scholars in the world. Carol’s research focuses on workplace inclusion and organisational fairness; she helps organisations develop employee-centred practices that address the needs of a diverse workforce. Carol is also the co-author of Human Resources for the Non-HR Manager (Routledge, 2023), a book that makes the latest research on people management activities accessible to managers with no formal training in human resources.

Beth Carmichael has been practicing law since 1992, firstly in Canada and then Australia. Initially she served as in-house council to two of Canada’s largest banks and then, when in Australia, joined Allens Linklaters and later Gilbert & Tobin. In 2000 she pivoted and set up her own firm. Her law firm was expressly designed to support entrepreneurs, start-ups and rapidly growing businesses to attract capital by growing the value of their business and strengthening their legal and compliance infrastructure. Leveraging her “big end of town” expertise Beth helped many such clients effectively build their businesses. More recently Beth has been involved with the development of technology to support organisations to deal with the increasing complexity of compliance and regulation across different industries, as well as exploring opportunities to capture value out of such changes.

We Are Why grows brands to become more socially conscious, helping them to innovate and influence proving profit thrives through purpose. Neil is a creative and strategic generator of ideas, motivator of teams and an inspirational servant leader. An accomplished, award winning executive creative director, artist, illustrator, designer, advertiser, marketer and brand man. Neil has a fascination with technology and an innate love and understanding of people. He uses this to promote brands to desired audiences – Business, Consumer, Shopper or Investor. He has empowered many businesses to succeed through multi-channel activations and has lead numerous Australian and Global brands to thrive.

Dr Lili Sussman

Dr Sussman has over 20 years of public, not for profit, academic and global industry experience across the United States, Canada, and Australia. She was recently named Female Fintech Leader of the Year 2023, and has held diverse strategy, transformation, innovation and product leadership roles across both startups and large multinationals, and is a former management consultant from The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Her background is social science, with an MA and a PhD from Harvard University, and an MA from Yale University. She is also a humanist and a mother, and in the last decade, has recovered from a traumatic brain injury which has taught her important lessons of the heart.
